Russel Associates worked with the Institute to develop four creative and innovative self-paced eLearning modules. Modules were generally less than 10 minutes in length and focused on delivering a specific message, quickly, clearly, and concisely. The Institute desired to design the technical training in a way that the modules would provide an introduction or reinforcement to longer length instructor led classes, in addition to providing a sound, educationally based alternative for those who are unable to attend an instructor led course.

Russell Associates develops a highly effective, blended learning program designed to train furniture finishing technicians in six months, as opposed to the traditional four to six years.  The program consists of Computer-Based Interactive Training (CBIT), an Instructor’s manual, a Student manual, and specific performance tasks, criteria, and evaluation.  It effectively taught the skills and nuances of finishing techniques.  It was first developed in English and then translated to Mandarin Chinese.

Russell Associates developed eLearning for seasonal and full-time employees in multiple languages to provide a company orientation and safety training on multiple subjects to their locations nationwide.  Training was delivered from Russell Associates’ Learning Management System customized to Seneca Foods.

“From an orientation standpoint, policies and procedures, as well as corporate structure needed to be communicated, as well as OSHA regulatory concerns and things of that nature.
